Mariel Freeman

Mariel (she/her) is the owner and founder of Three Queens Yoga and has been teaching for over 20 years. She directs both the 200 and 300 Hour Yoga Teacher Training programs and is a recognized leader in Philadelphia's yoga scene. Her classes blend real-world philosophy, precise alignment cues, and engaging storytelling.

Mariel is best known for integrating the science and philosophy of yoga with the practical sensibility of daily life. She encourages students to celebrate embodiment through breath, alignment, and biomechanics, sharing the wisdom of her teachers in every class.

Mariel has collaborated with Be Well Philly, Kimpton Hotels, and Lululemon to build sustainable communities. She founded Three Queens Yoga to bring people together and foster connection.

She lives in Philadelphia with her husband and two children, and co-owns Shot Tower Coffee.

  • Erick DuPree

    he / him

    Erick is the business development partner at Three Queens Yoga. Since its inception, he has overseen finances, media and brand partnerships, programming, and collaborates with teachers to uphold the studio’s high standards. A certified E-RYT 500 yoga teacher and trainer, Erick leads beginner and restorative yoga classes. Outside of the studio, Erick is a cultural anthropologist, academic, and author, bringing his rich expertise in human culture and learning to everything he does at Three Queens.

  • Yesenia Vargas

    she/her

    Yesenia is the studio manager and the day-to-day face of Three Queens Yoga, ensuring the smooth running of all studio operations. She supervises the Work Exchange (WEX) program, organizes Kids Programming, and manages social media and communications. In addition to her management role, Yesenia is a talented photographer and a passionate yoga teacher, blending her creative vision and love for yoga to cultivate a welcoming and inspiring community environment.

  • Abby Klein

    she/her

    Abby has taught and practiced movement for over 20 years. Her long background in the alternative medicine space informs her perpetual fascination with the body and its ability to heal.

  • Adriana Adelé

    she / they

    Adriana is the co-lead 200 Hour Training faculty with Anisha, and a restorative yoga, yoga nidra and pranayama teacher. Her classes are often an invitation to find pause, reflect and rest.

  • Anisha Chirmule

    she / her

    Anisha is the co-lead 200 Hour Training faculty with Adriana, a master story teller, and the advancing asana teacher. Her classes empower students to play their edge and build confidence.

  • Alexandra Holmes

    she / her

    Alexandra is a certified yoga therapist in private practice, and holds a master’s degree in Yoga Therapy. Alexandra is a 200 & 300 Hour Yoga Teacher Trainer, and is renown for her dynamic flow sequencing.

  • Alyssa Martin

    she / her

    Alyssa curates a safe space for self discovery, breath exploration, intentional movement, and ultimate self-awareness. In her classes discover how the breath serves no boundaries. Slow down and sink into this moment where there is nothing left to do but be exactly as you are.

  • Brandi Goldsborough

    Brandi is a designer and yoga teacher. She teaches our Basics classes, and assists our 200 Hour Teacher Training.

  • Brian Swope

    Brian is a yogi and mental health therapist - different approaches to wellbeing, that share in the idea that each of us is already complete and that we can better connect with ourselves and within an ever-changing world.

  • Deb Glassman

    she/her

    Deb has been practicing yoga for over 25 years and teaching for 8. Her spiritually- infused, alignment based vinyasa style is designed to draw the practitioner into a deeper relationship with themselves and others. In her spare time she is a physician and actor.

  • Elizabeth Zack

    she/her

    Elizabeth Zack teaches yoga, mindfulness, and sound healing to children and adults. She also leads sound baths and founded 100 Women Philadelphia, raising over $425,000 for local nonprofits.

  • Emily Kashka-Ginsburg

    she/her

    Emily is a yoga sculpt instructor and higher education professional. She is trained in a range of modalities including sculpt, Pilates, and restorative yoga. Her classes are grounded in breath and above all, seek to provide a space where you can find joy in movement.

  • Emma Scott

    she / her

    Emma creates spaces for students to build confidence and self-awareness through breath and movement. Her classes focus on mindfulness, bodily autonomy, and curiosity, teaching basics and beginners.

  • Josie Rosa Gatlin

    she/her

    Josie is a 200-hour Baptiste yoga teacher since 2013, and also an ACE certified personal trainer. She offers a music-driven sculpt class fusing yoga, strength training, and cardio for a full-body workout.

  • Larry Mele

    he / him

    Larry is a senior teacher, anatomy expert and NASM Corrective Exercise Specialist. He is the founder and owner of SOMA Movement & Therapeutic. His classes focus on detailed instruction, anatomy, and alignment based cueing.

  • Melissa Chesnick

    she/her

    Melissa teaches yoga to help students see themselves more deeply. She welcomes all skill levels and focuses on aligned engagement and injury prevention while keeping the practice fun. Outside of teaching, she enjoys exploring the city and watching reality shows.

  • Nicole Schiff

    Nicole, an educator, blends her teaching background into yoga. She works with teens and adults, guiding them through movement and breath. Outside yoga, she enjoys walks, reading, and sunshine!

  • Sara DiSimoni

    she/her

    Sara is our kids and family yoga teacher. A public school teacher, and certified yoga instructor, Sara has a wonderful ability to create meaningful programming for kids.

  • Shiya Furstenau

    she/her

    Shiya is a doula and lactation specialist. She anchors our weekly Postpartrum Support Group and programs for new and expecting mothers. She is the owner of Embraced Care.

  • Stacia Nero

    she/her

    Stacia Nero is a leader in the Philadelphia yoga and wellness community. Her mission for the past decade has been to inspire others to find their own strength and growth through the practice of yoga and self-care.

  • Trina Andras

    Trina Andras

    Trina is a scholar, professor, and student of yoga philosophy. She teaches a fiery alignment based class and offers yoga story-time.
