Teaching Yoga and Mindfulness to Children (Preschool through Grade 5)
Learn to teach a 36-week Yoga Alliance approved curriculum using Yoga Child’s signature Eight-Part Path, incorporating yoga games, magical meditations, music, crafts, and over 100 kid-friendly poses. This inspiring approach will keep your students engaged and eager to learn.

Three Queens Yoga welcomes Yoga Child, Philadelphia’s first Registered Children’s Yoga School. Join us and gain the skills and confidence to teach yoga and mindfulness to preschool and elementary children.
Led by Elizabeth Zack and special guest teachers, this 95+ hour training will guide you through the award-winning Yoga Child Eight-Part Path, helping you discover the joy of teaching in a developmentally appropriate way.
You’ll learn how to engage young minds through yoga games, meditations, crafts, and literature, and develop your own creative lesson plans.
Yoga Child’s comprehensive program not only equips you to teach yoga in schools, studios, and homes but also emphasizes the importance of mindfulness as a tool for emotional regulation and behavioral management.
With hands-on experience, class observation, and expert guidance, you’ll emerge confident in your ability to inspire children with the lifelong benefits of yoga and mindfulness.

Learn how developmental anatomy relates to informed use of asana in children.
Learn to teach a 36-week curriculum using Yoga Child’s signature Eight-Part Path

Empower children with mindfulness both on and off the mat

Four weekend sessions with additional Zoom training, practicum, and class observation

The 85 Hour Yoga Teacher Training is a substantial commitment of time, and attendance every weekend is required for a certificate at graduation, for both Yoga Alliance credential and Yoga Child confidence in certifying you. With approval, we will consider up to 5 hours of non-consecutive excused absence. Entire weekend absences and anything more than 5 hours missed, the student will be responsible for making up the hours at their own expense with faculty. Three Queens and Yoga Child does not provide make-up hours included in the tuition of Teacher Training.

95+Hr Yoga Child Training
48.5hrs Didactic Instruction at Three Queens Yoga (includes 4.5 hours of zoom)
3-6hrs Observation of children’s yoga classes
22.5hrs Practicum (Independent and Partner practice in between sessions, lesson planning, practice teaching)
22.5hrs Reading and review of training manual, Independent and supervised study, assignment completion, review of audio and visual resources and associated children’s literature.

Early Bird $2,500 Full Tuition. By December 30
$2,800 Full Tuition. Pays for you, the faculty and supports others.
$2,000 Work Exchange Rate (one spot)
Deposit: $500 Required to hold spot. Deposit is deducted from total training cost

Materials Fee:
The cost for the required training materials including the Yoga Child Training Manual, Music Playlist, and Associated Literature) can range from $70-$125 depending upon whether participants have a spotify account, acquire children's literature used or new or borrow it from the library. A list of materials and links will be sent 30 days before the start of training.

Elizabeth Zack, MSEd, E-RYT 200, RCYT
LEAD TRAINER
Elizabeth Zack is an experienced educator, yoga teacher, and sound healer who has been practicing yoga and mindfulness since 2004. A certified children's yoga instructor, Elizabeth has over 30 years of experience teaching elementary school and now leads yoga and mindfulness programs at The Philadelphia School and The Jubilee School. She collaborates with Yoga Child as a lead teacher trainer, offering mindfulness workshops and sound bath meditations. Elizabeth also founded 100 Women Philadelphia, which supports local nonprofits through collective giving. She holds degrees from The George Washington University and the University of Pennsylvania.

Gail Silver, JD, E-RYT, RCYT, YACEP
FOUNDER & DIRECTOR
Gail Silver is the founder of Yoga Child Inc. and The School Mindfulness Project, and an award-winning children’s book author. Since 1999, she has taught yoga and mindfulness to children and adults, drawing inspiration from renowned teachers such as Thich Nhat Hanh and Sharon Salzberg. Gail created Yoga Child to provide a platform for children to explore movement and breathwork. She leads school-based programs and teacher training, and has been featured in Lion’s Roar and The Yoga Stories Project. Gail also founded The School Mindfulness Project to bring yoga and mindfulness to underserved schools.
