Teaching Restorative Yoga

Join Erick DuPree for this 20 hour Summer Immersion in Restorative Yoga. This three day immersive experience is perfect for teachers and students looking to explore restorative yoga poses and empowered practices of rest and relaxation.

This weekend will introduce key concepts in Restorative yoga and demystify the science of stress vs. relaxation response conversationally. We will explore decolonizing grind culture and how to empower rest for ourselves and our students. 

You will experience and learn to sequence for restorative yoga, how to guide states of rest in cueing, and hands-on applications to advance your teaching. Expect to leave this training with practical tools to teach a well-sequenced series of restorative postures.

  • DAY 1: Friday, July 22, 6:30-8:30pm

  • DAY 2: Saturday, July 23, 1-7:30pm

  • Day 3: Sunday, July 24,, 1-5pm

Curriculum: 

  • Fundamentals of Props and Alignment

  • Study of Parasympathetic Nervous System and Subtle Energy Body

  • Props Usage to Balance Body and Mind

  • Decolonizing Grind Culture and Finding Rest

  • Sequencing with Minimal Props

  • Hands-On Applications

Certification Requirements:

  • 13 Hour In-Person Contact Hours

  • 7 Non Contact Hours: Submit ten class outlines and a brief reflection on teaching restorative classes.
