8 Week Beginner Series

  • Three Queens Yoga 410 Monroe Street Philadelphia United States (map)

If you are looking for a place to start? Start Here!

Join Lindsay Woodcock for Three Queens’ 8 Week Beginner Series, starting October 3! The Beginner Series is designed to provide the necessary tools to develop a life-long healthy yoga practice.

Over the course of eight consecutive weeks, we will cover more than just the foundations of physical poses and alignment; we also offer an introduction to philosophy, exploration of breathing techniques, and an invitation for self-inquiry and discovery. Perfect for those taking their very first steps into yoga as well as students looking to expand their understanding of yoga fundamentals, this course informs and builds a practice that helps students feel better in body, mind, and heart.

The series starts on 10/3/21 and meets weekly at 9 am. In each 75-minute session, there will be an introduction to new concepts and discussion thereof, followed by a physical practice focused on breaking down new poses and applying new techniques. We aim to provide a welcoming environment for students to ask questions, find comfort in their body and breath, and develop their own personal yoga practice.

This series is In Studio only. When you sign up you will receive a special welcome email from Lindsay. At this time, Three Queens requires proof of vaccination for all students. We will update you if anything changes.

Lindsay, she/they, is a yoga instructor, dog mom, and professional toddler BFF (a.k.a. nanny). While always a student first, she has been teaching yoga since 2019.

Lindsay strives to inspire a welcoming environment for everybody who chooses to enter the space. She works towards making yoga more accessible to underrepresented communities, with a focus on creating an inclusive and affirming space for queer adults and youth alike. Inspired by the love and comfort that she found within the yoga community, her passion for teaching is driven by an enthusiasm for cultivating and sharing this experience in each class.

As a former Irish dancer, she appreciates yoga as an opportunity to explore the body through movement, alignment, and focused awareness. Expect a moderate-pace class, rooted in alignment, and with a focus on finding joy in one’s own body and mind. In addition to mixed-level classes, she also offers yoga for beginners and kids. Known for a trauma-informed approach, Lindsay uses thoughtful language and encourages nonjudgement and acceptance

Outside of the studio, Lindsay can be found tending to her pack of senior foster dogs, indoor rock climbing, and road-tripping whenever possible.
