Join Erick for the contemplative practices of Yin and Restorative yoga combined for two hours of progressively longer-held poses culminating in rest.
Deep Yin invites permission to dare, exploring expansive hip openers, refined twists, folds and binds to balance the nervous system and clear the mind. Yin taps into the body's deepest tissue and parts of self to stimulate flexibility, circulation, and muscle recovery.
To balance our practice, we welcome the empowered surrender of Restorative yoga and progressive relaxation with prop-supported shapes and the welcome opportunity to create a moment for space, breath, health, and more.
Movements in the Deep Yin portion of the class will include seated, kneeling, and weight-bearing on hands. Students should have comfort moving around on the floor and expect postures with deep flexion in the knee and hips. Every posture is always taught with the opportunity to use props to support student needs.
